As riots continued across the country in the wake of a stabbing rampage at a dance class that left three girls dead and many more wounded, the Reform UK Nigel Farage calls on Parliament for ‘honest debate on population explosion’.

Farage said that he has been appalled by the levels of violence the country has seen in the last couple of days. The levels of intimidation and threat to life have no place in a functioning democracy, he said, adding that it’s time to have a more honest debate about these vital issues and give people the confidence that there are relevant political solutions.

Nigel Farage, who was elected to parliament in July for the first time as leader of Reform U.K., has also been blamed by many for encouraging — indirectly — the anti-immigration sentiment.

The violence over the past days, which has seen a library torched, mosques attacked and flares thrown at a statue of wartime leader Winston Churchill, began after false rumors spread online that the suspect in the dance class stabbing attack was an asylum-seeker, fueling anger among far-right supporters.

“Ever since the soft policing of the Black Lives Matter protests, the impression of two-tier policing has become widespread. The Prime Minister’s faltering attempts to address the current crisis have only added to that sense of injustice,” he said.

“The majority of our population can see the fracturing of our communities as a result of mass, uncontrolled immigration, whether legal or illegal. Yet to attempt to debate this in the public arena leads to immediate howls of condemnation. A population explosion without integration was always going to end badly. I have said this for many years,” he added.

Hundreds of people have been arrested in connection with the disorder and many more are likely as police scour CCTV, social media and body-worn camera footage. However, police have also warned that with widespread security measures in place, with thousands of officers deployed, other crimes may not be investigated fully.
