As the counting of votes for Assembly elections 2023 in four states are underway, BJP leader and national spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill Sunday said his party will be winning in three states - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.

“It is going to be ‘balle balle’ for the BJP. The party score is going to be 3-0,” Shergill said.

“The BJP’s ‘vijay rath’ will come to Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh,” Shergil said.

The BJP leader further said in Telangana, “if not this time, BJP will fly its flag high in the state the next time.”

The results for the Assembly elections 2023 in four states - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana are set to be announced on Sunday (3 November).

As per the latest trends, BJP is ahead in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Congress, while Congress is leading in Telangana.

Assembly elections were held in five states - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram last month which is being viewed as the semi-final to the crucial 2024 Lok Sabha elections which is due in less than six months.

The counting of votes for Mizoram Assembly Elections 2023, which was initially set for 3 December, has been postponed to 4 December, as Sunday holds a special significance for the people of the state, a Christian-majority state.

What do the exit polls predict?

Exit polls of Assembly polls 2023 have presented varied predictions, with some favoring the BJP in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, while others suggest an advantage for the Congress in Telangana and Chhattisgarh.

Currently, Congress is in power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, BJP is ruling Madhya Pradesh.

The K Chandrashekhar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is in power in Telangana,

Counting of votes started at 8 am amid tight security for 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 90 seats in Chhattisgarh, 119 seats in Telangana and 199 seats in Rajasthan as polling on one seat in the desert state was put off due to the death of a candidate.
