Defeated in MP, Congress evicted from Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, but chief Kharge says 'temporary loss'

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge accepted defeat of his party in three states - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh in the recently concluded Assembly elections.

“We will overcome temporary setbacks and prepare ourselves fully for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections along with the INDIA parties,” said Kharge in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

I thank the people of Telangana for the mandate we have received from them.

The Congress president also thanked people of Telangana for voting his party to power by dislodging the K Chandrashekar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party.
