In yet another provocative remark, former US President Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance compared Vice President Kamala Harris to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The comments from the Ohio Senator came during a wild interview with Fox News which was aired on Sunday.
Things became worse when Trump added fuel to the fire and claimed that he is “better looking” than Harris. “Giving Kamala Harris control over inflation policy, Shannon, it’s like giving Jeffrey Epstein control over human trafficking policy,” Vance said in the Fox News interview. “The American people are much smarter than that. They don’t buy the idea that Kamala Harris represents a fresh start. She is more of the same,” he added.
Jeffrey Epstein was an infamous paedophile and a notorious sex criminal who had known connections to central figures in mainstream politics, including both former US Presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton. He went on to claim that the polls that indicated that Harris is ahead of Trump are “false”.
“I’m telling you, every single person who’s watching this, the Trump campaign is in a very, very good spot,” Vance exclaimed. “I think there are a lot of polls that actually show her stagnating and levelling off. ABC/Washington Post was a wildly inaccurate pollster in the summer of 2020,” he added.
The ABC/ Washington Post polls published on Sunday showed Harris narrowly ahead of Trump.
Trump says he is ‘better looking’ than Kamala
On Saturday, Trump continued with his Kamala Harris slander and eventually claimed that he is “better looking” than her. While referring to Harris’ recent Time Magazine cover, Trump questioned Harris’ looks. “Don’t ever call a woman beautiful, because that’ll be the end of your political career, please,” he said.
“But I say that I am much better looking. I’m a better-looking person than Kamala. “They said, ‘No, her biggest advantage is that she’s a beautiful woman.’ I’m going, ‘Huh?’ I never thought of that. I’m better looking than she is,” he added.
Last week while speaking to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Trump took potshots at Kamala’s Time cover. “I saw a picture of [Harris] on Time magazine today. She looks like the most beautiful actress ever to live,” he said. “Actually, she looked very much like our great first lady, Melania.”
“She didn’t look like Kamala, that’s right. But of course, she’s a beautiful woman, so we’ll leave it at that,” he added.
