Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came out of Tihar jail after the Supreme Court on Friday granted interim bail to the leader. While his freedom might be short-lived, Kejriwal has a lot planned till June 1.

On Friday, the top court granted the Aam Aadmi Party leader interim bail for the campaigning of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The interim bail has been granted till June 1.

While the court has set conditions that the chief minister would be required to follow during the time of bail, Arvind Kejriwal has a lot on his plate on the first day on the ground in 50 days.

  • Kejriwal will start his day seeking blessings from god at Hanuman Temple in Delhi’s Connaught Place at 11 am

  • At 1 pm the Delhi chief minister will hold a press conference at the AAP office

  • Three hours later at 4 pm, Kejriwal will hold a roadshow in South Delhi’s Mehrauli area

  • The leader will end his day by holding another roadshow in East Delhi’s Krishna Nagar at 6 pm

‘I’m back’

After leaving the Tihar jail complex, Kejriwal said, “I had promised to come back soon, here I am.”

“I want to thank all of you. Crores and crores of people across the country prayed for me. I want to thank the Supreme Court because of whom I’m standing here with you. I just have one request to make with all of you we should together save the country from dictatorship. I’m fighting and protesting against dictatorship with everything I have. But the 140 crore people have to fight against dictatorship,” he added.
