Sik was speaking about his party’s MP who has been jailed on what’s deemed politically-motivated incarceration. The news agency reported that the attack on Sik happened after he called Erdogan’s ruling party as a “terrorist organisation”.
The news agency reported that at least two MPs were injured in the brawl and one of them, a woman, was left bloodied.
Ozgur Ozel, the chief of the principal Opposition party, dubbed it as “shameful situation”.
“Instead of words flying in the air, fists are flying, there is blood on the ground. They are hitting women,” said Ozel.
