Days after President Joe Biden informed governors that he has planned to avoid scheduling events after 8 pm to ensure he gets more sleep, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy on Tuesday trolled White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, asking if the Pentagon calls Jill Biden if someone launches a nuke past 8 pm.

JUST IN: Fox News’ Peter Doocy trolls Karine Jean-Pierre by asking if the Pentagon calls Jill Biden if someone launches a nuke past 8pm.

Brutal.

Doocy: “[Biden’s] sharpest before 8:00 PM. So say that the Pentagon at some point picks up an incoming nuke. It's 11:00 PM. Who do… pic.twitter.com/o5KwkPTNze

During Tuesday’s White House press briefing, Doocy asked Jean-Pierre, “Does President Biden commit to serving a full second term if reelected?”

“Yes,” Jean-Pierre replied.

Doocy pressed, “We know the president says that his health is fine, but it’s just his brain and that he’s sharpest before 8 pm…?”

Jean-Pierre interjected, explaining that Biden’s comment was meant as a joke.

“He was joking. I just wanna make sure that that’s out there. People – he was making a light-hearted joke as he was speaking off-the-cuff. You know the president. He likes to joke a lot. He’s the same guy who says, ‘I know I look 40,’ right? So, he likes to make jokes. It is a joke. I think people laugh when he says it,” she said.

Doocy continued his barrage of questions, asking, “Well, he also said he’s sharpest before 8 pm. So, say that the Pentagon at some point picks up an incoming nuke. It’s 11 pm. Who do you call – the first lady?”

Jean-Pierre, visibly annoyed, responded, “He has a team that lets him know of any news that is pertinent and important to the American people. He has someone, or that is decided obviously in this national security council who gets to tell him that news.”

Doocy’s questioning came amid doubts over President Biden’s cognitive abilities following his lackluster performance at the CNN Presidential debate against Donald Trump last month.

Several lawmakers, including some Democrats, have urged Biden to reconsider his 2024 presidential bid.
