The Rings of Power season 1’s Middle Earth, as it gets darker with return of the evil, Sauron

Prime Video’s globally acclaimed series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, set in the Second Age of Middle Earth, spans multiple storylines as the world moves closer to darkness. Season one introduced viewers to J.R.R Tolkien’s mythical world of Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, and Harfoots, who come together – with their tribes – to not only survive but also end the tyranny of Dark Lord Sauron. As audiences eagerly await the upcoming season, here’s taking a quick recap of all that went down in season one, based on. Tolkien’s masterpiece!

Galadriel’s Pursuit of the Evil: One of the bravest Elves, Galadriel sets out on a quest to find the evil, whom she believes shall return and destroy Middle Earth. On her journey, Halbrand saves Galadriel’s life, only for them to be saved by the Captain of the Seas, who takes them to Númenor. Thereafter, Galadriel convinces the queen of Númenor to lend her some of her army men in a bid to vanquish the evil that had once snatched their loved ones from them.

Nori and the Stranger: In the world of darkness, creators Patrick McKay and John D. Payne masterfully depict a beautiful relationship between Nori and the Stranger, a mysterious figure possessing incredible powers, who falls from the sky. Even though the Stranger knows nothing about himself, he saves the Harfoots in the face of danger. Not only does the trust between the young girl and the stranger strengthen, but the Harfoot tribe also decides to send Nori to take care of him as he sets out to save the world. However, the Stranger’s identity remains a mystery throughout the entire season.

Who is Sauron?: Season one keeps the audience on tenterhooks by keeping Sauron’s identity under wraps until the very end. Is it Adar, who led the group of Orcs in creating Mordor, or is it the Stranger, who fell from the stars? As Galadriel begins to suspect Halbrand’s true identity, a nail-biting buildup culminates in the unmasking of Sauron towards the climax of the season.
