'We are all big, fat liars'

Karan Johar, whose latest production venture Jigra featuring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina bombed at the box office, made some bold revelations about Bollywood actors and box office numbers.

Right from revealing that celebs do not share entirely honest reviews to inflated collections at the box office, Karan Johar addressed all popular points.

During a chat with The Indian Express, When KJo was asked about box office numbers, he replied, “Yes, numbers are fudged, true.” When questioned whether the actors in the film are cast based on their talent, he answered, “No,” adding, “Box office, popularity, always equal talent. I mean, you know, I’m sure there are more talented filmmakers than me. And they don’t get the chance to make movies. There are a gazillion more talented people and filmmakers than me, I’m quite sure of that. So I won’t even speak for stars, I’ll speak for myself. So I think I’m privileged and I’m grateful for that.”

When asked whether reviews shared by celebs about films are entirely honest, Karan replied,  “No, we are all liars. We are all big, fat liars.”
