The megastar of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan, has expressed concern over the floods in the financial capital Mumbai, which has impacted people’s daily lives by disrupting commuting modes and other things.

The Kalki 2898 AD actor shared a picture where he is holding an umbrella for wife Jaya Bachchan as they stroll in the rain and the veteran actress is holding a box of laddoos. Sharing the image he wrote,  “T 5074 – …. and the rain it raineth every day .. even on set at work …”

In his blog, Big B shared series of monsoon pics and wrote, “And the rain it raineth all day long.. on the work too .. umbrellas galore among all the artists as they wade through the waters .. and most of them enjoying the deed.”

Sharing his thoughts about the impact of monsoon on Mumbai, he added,  “It is the blessing after the hot summer months.. but apart from the awaited agriculture.. it brings devastation and floods, ruining the landscape and causing the pain that they who suffer go through .. each year the scenario keeps repeating itself.. sad .. helpless.”

“It is difficult to describe the ruin caused.. but we pray that all gets well and in the wellness of all .. our prayers,” the actor ended the post.

On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan is basking in the success of Kalki 2898 AD, which grossed over Rs 1000 crore at the global box office. The film also featured Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in prominent roles with cameos of Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma. It is directed by Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame.
