WWE superstar John Cena was one of the biggest personalities to attend the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding function in Mumbai on Friday. The 47 year-old wrestler-turned-actor dressed up in desi fashion for the wedding that was held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumba’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC).

The moment that stole the show was a picture he shared with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Sharing the picture on X, Cena wrote- “A surreal 24 hours. So grateful for the Ambani family for their unmatched warmth and hospitality.”

He added, “An experience filled with so many unforgettable moments which allowed me to connect with countless new friends, including meeting @iamsrk and being able to tell him personally the positive effect he has had on my life."

Cena announced his retirement from in-ring competition in the WWE ring leaving his fans heartbroken recently. He made his wrestling debut on June 27, 2002 when he faced Kurt Angle in a thrilling match. After being a heel for more than a year, he became a baby face and never turned heel again.

His first championship win happened at Wrestlemania XX on March 14, 2004 when he defeated Big Show for the United States Championship. He won the WWE Title at the same event a year later, snatching the belt from John Bradshaw Layfield. He became the World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestlemania 25 after he defeated Big Show and Edge. His surprise appearance at this year’s Wrestlemania to help Cody Rhodes in his match against Roman Reigns was a cameo for the ages.
