Ryan Reynolds & Hugh Jackman's R-rated superhero flick is outrageous & super fun

Cast: Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Karan Soni and Matthew Macfadyen

Director: Shawn Levy

Right from its inception, Deadpool has been portrayed and perceived as anti-superhero superhero. However, this time the trash-mouthed personality wants to matter for Vanessa. By using Cable’s time-traveling device to travel to Earth-616 (the sacred timeline), Deadpool requests to be an Avenger but gets requested.

He comes back to 2024 and leaves his superhero jacket and turns to car salesman after breaking up with Vanessa. During the celebration of his birthday, TVA (Time Variance Authority) captures Wade Wilson (Deadpool) and is brought to Mr Paradox, who gives him offer to join Earth-616. However, he also reveals that Deadpool’s earth timeline is deteriorating due to the demise of Logan aka Wolverine, who was the anchor being.

Now, Deadpool steals TemPad from Paradox and travel through multiverse and brings one of the variant Logans to him so that he can save his earth. However, Paradox tells Deadpool that he is the worst Logan and has destroyed his own universe and throw them to void (a trash heap, which was introduced in Disney+ Hotstar’s Loki series).

In the void, they encounter Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin), who the twin sister of Charles Xavier. Nova is the most powerful person in the void and no one can escape from her nefarious hands. However, they both escape and later are helped by some superheroes to fight her back (get ready to surprise and shout with significant cameos). After the cinematic and amazing fight Nova uses a sling ring of one of Doctor Strange’s to send Deadpool and Wolverine back to the earth.

While we are still on the edge of the seat to see how this team will save Wilson’s earth timeline, a new twist comes with Nove keeping his foot on the earth for a big revenge, which can cause the end of mankind. What happens next? Well, you have to watch Deadpool & Wolverine for that.

Deadpool is funny and entertaining anyway but this time, his raunchiness has gone to another level, thanks to the screenplay and dialogues. Director Shawn Levy has gone all out to make this super-entertaining and deserves brownie points for that. Right from taking potshots at Fox, to Hugh’s divorce and comment on Marvel’s past, present and future, this movie never shies away to be outrageous.

Undoubtedly, the camaraderie between Deadpool & Wolverine is the biggest highlight of the movie, which is a treat for all MCU fans.

Talking about performances, Ryan and Hugh are X factors of this movie with crisp work by Morena Baccarin and Matthew Macfadyen. However, ultimately it is Deadpool & Wolverine show.
