Dedication personified: Sharvari's relentless pursuit of perfection in Vedaa is inspiring

In her first leading role, Sharvari steps into the spotlight with Nikkhil Advani’s directorial venture Vedaa, a film that demands more than just acting prowess. Playing the titular role, Sharvari faced the challenge of starring in an intense action film alongside seasoned actor John Abraham. “I underwent five months of intensive boxing training,” she shares, revealing the preparation required to match the physical demands of the role.

On-screen, John’s character mentors her in her fight against caste violence, and off-screen, he provided guidance in action sequences. “John is the biggest action star of our country. Learning from him was enriching, especially in understanding the nuances of action sequences and their safety,” she adds.

Sharvari’s dedication to her craft shines through as she emphasizes that Vedaa is more than just another project. “This film is important for my survival, growth, and belief in my craft,” she asserts. The film’s focus on challenging casteism and its message of standing up against injustice resonated deeply with her. “It’s a tale of empowerment, demonstrating that even in the face of adversity, the human spirit can triumph. We want to remind viewers that standing up for what is right, with courage and conviction, can lead to lasting change.”

As Vedaa gears up for its August 15 release, Sharvari remains focused on the story and its impact, more than just box-office numbers. “For me, the most important things are the story and what my character is trying to say,” she concludes.
