 Meet Jasprit Bumrah's wife Sanjana Ganesan

The Indian cricket team recently created history by lifting the ICC T20 World Cup Trophy under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah was announced Man of the Tournament for taking 15 wickets in 8 matches including critical breakthroughs.

While Bumrah is considered one of the best pacers in cricketing history, his personal life is nothing short of a fairy tale love story. He is married to a reputed sports presenter and journalist Sanjana Ganesan.

Who is Sanjana Ganesan

Born to Ganesan Ramaswamy and Sushma Ganesan on May 6, 1991, in Pune, Sanjana Ganesan attended The Bishops School and later earned a B.Tech from the Symbiosis Institute of Technology. She even bagged a gold medal for being the top academic achiever in her batch.

Before entering the sports and glamour industry, she worked in an IT firm as a software engineer. Later, Sanjana gave modeling a try and entered the Femina Miss India 2014 pageant, where she reached the finals. She eventually won the title of Femina Officially Gorgeous.

The gorgeous lady also appeared on MTV’s Splitsvilla 7 in 2014 but had to leave the show early due to an injury.

Sports journalist and presenter

Sanjana got a breakthrough when she became a television broadcaster for Star Sports. She is known for anchoring reputed and elite tournaments like Indian Premier League (IPL), Badminton Premier League and Indian Super League. She also hosted the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. Later, Sanjana worked as a digital insider for the International Cricket Council (ICC) and hosted the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup followed by taking part in the World Test Championship Final 2023 between India and Australia.

Jasprit-Sanjana’s love story

The duo met for the first time during the 2013-14 IPL season, when she interviewed him. Despite not having a great start, their friendship grew in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup and after two years of relationship, they tied the knot on March 15, 2021, in a private Sikh wedding in Goa.

The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Angad Jasprit Bumrah on September 4, 2023.
