The Paris Olympics 2024 is expected to host a remarkable gathering of athletes from around the world. While the exact number of participants is not yet finalised, it is anticipated to be around 10,500 athletes, similar to recent Summer Olympic Games.
These athletes will compete in 329 events across 32 sports, including the newly added breaking (breakdancing), skateboarding , sport climbing , and surfing . The Games will also feature a balanced representation of male and female athletes, continuing the IOC’s commitment to gender equality.
In addition to individual national teams, the Refugee Olympic Team will also participate, providing opportunities for displaced athletes to compete on the global stage.
It’s important to note that the final number of athletes may fluctuate slightly as qualifications continue and teams are finalised in the months leading up to the Games.
