After winning a record-breaking 19 medals at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, India will be aiming to better their record at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. India have sent a record 84 athletes to Paris for the 2024 Paralympics which is their largest-ever contingent.
Overall in 12 editions, India have won 31 medals including nine gold, 12 silver, and 10 bronze. Murlikant Petkar was the first Indian to win a Paralympic medal when he won gold at the Heidelberg 1972 Games. Devendra Jhajharia is the only Indian to win multiple gold medals.

Jhajharia and Joginder Singh Bedi are the only Indians to win three Paralympic medals. While Jhajharia has won two gold and a silver, Bedi won one silver and two bronze medals.
