Lakshya is the first Indian male shuttler to contest for a medal and will look to end India’s badminton campaign at Paris 204 with a medal. The shooters Maheshwari Chauhan and Anant Jeet Singh Naruka will take part in the Skeet Mixed Team qualification event.

India will also be kicking off their wrestling campaign on Monday with Nisha facing Ukraine’s Tetiana Sova Women’s Freestyle 68kg pre-quarter-finals. If she progresses further her semi-final will take place past midnight.

In athletics, Avinash Sable will begin his campaign with the qualification round in the Men’s 3,000m Steeplechase, while Kiran Pahal will take part in heats of Women’s 400m.
