India at Paris Olympics Day 15 LIVE Updates — Wrestling

There’s an update from wrestling at the Paris Olympics. USA’s Kennedy Blades defeats Aiperi Medet Kyzy of Kyrgyzstan with an 8-6 scoreline in the women’s 76 kg freestyle wrestling competition semi-finals. This means that Reetika Hooda’s campaign at the Olympics is all but over. Reetika had lost to Kyzy in the quarter-finals and needed Kyzy to beat the American for Reetika to have any chance of fighting in repechage. Competing in repechage would have given Reetika chance to remain in contention for bronze.

This means India’s campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics officially comes to an end. India finish the Paris Olympics with six medals in total, which includes one silver and five bronze medals. No gold medal for India this time around.
