'This must be the most publicity he has got...'

Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD was a huge success at the box-office but in an interview with Samdish Bhatia, actor Arshad Warsi said he didn’t like the film. His words were rather explosive as he said, “Why? I want to see a Mad Max yaar, I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana diya yaar. Kyun karte hai aisa mujhe nahi samaj mein aata hai (What have you made it. Why do filmmakers do this, I will never understand). Prabhas, I am really sad but, why was he was like a joker?”

Reacting to his statement at a press conference, Jersey and Eega star Nani said, “The person that you’re referring to, this must be the most publicity he has got in his life. You are unnecessarily glorifying an unimportant matter.”

Prabhas’ fans also tore Warsi apart for his comment and hurled abuses on his social media timeline.

RX 100’ director Ajay Bhupathi also defended the Baahubali star as he took to X to write a note. He said, “We can see the jealousy on that film, on him in your eyes just because you’ve faded out & no one gives an eye to you. There’s a limit & a way to express our opinion… Seems like you’re the one that you’ve said about him.”

Directed by Nag Ashwin,   Kalki 2898 AD is about Lord Vishnu. It’s a mix of mythology and sci-fi. It’s quite a starry movie with a line-up which includes Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Dulquer Salmaan. A kind of film which audiences will wait to watch in theatres for its brilliant international standard VFX. Set in dystopian world, undoubtedly, the film is a visual extravaganza.
