How Amitabh Bachchan’s hosted game show is uplifting lives and inspiring success stories

Celebrating the strength, knowledge and pursuit of common men and women in India, Kaun Banega Crorepati has made a thrilling return with its 16th season on Sony Entertainment Television with much gusto. This season’s campaign, ‘Zindagi Hai. Har Modh Par Sawaal Puchegi. Jawab Toh Dena Hoga’, reflected the belief that at pivotal moments, life presents us with challenges that test us and it is our responses to these situations that guide us to new paths. Staying true to the campaign thought of this season, the first week has proven to be more than just a game as it acts as a beacon of hope that uplifts contestants’ and transform their lives.

One such contestant, Sudheer Kumar Verma, a farmer’s son from Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, faced numerous challenges, but his unwavering faith in education led him to the KBC hot seat. His win of INR 25,80,000, got him a step closer to his dream of purchasing land as a gift for his father. His journey silenced those who doubted his potential, proving that knowledge can indeed change lives.

Another inspirational story that shone in the first week is that of Vaishnavi Bharti, who started her journey to the hot seat from India’s heartland, Jhumri Telaiya. Despite her challenging life, she never let these circumstances stop her from preparing for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exams while managing household responsibilities. Vaishnavi’s determination and knowledge earned her first income of INR 7,30,000; which she respectfully dedicated to her father; and wishes to uplift her and her family’s life. Seeing Vaishavi’s sweet gesture, got her a heartfelt praise from Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, who admired her for being an exemplary daughter.

A multi-talented Homemaker, Dipali Soni from Vadodara, exemplified resilience and a deep love for her family. Her dream of buying her own car came closer to reality with her winning amount INR 6,40,000.

This week will also witness, Jayanta Dhuley from Agai, West Bengal, as he is all set to win hearts with his mission to transform his family’s lifestyle. Driven by a desire to improve sanitation, he plans to use the winning amount to build a bathroom for his mother and sister, symbolizing his commitment to better his and his families living condition.

The stories of resilience and determination are all set to continue in the coming weeks: bringing to the hotseat will be stories of upcoming contestants such as Vishnu Managoli from Chennai who is one of the youngest contestant this season, wishes to join ISRO and Nareshi Meena from Rajasthan, who is courageously battling brain tumour and goes on to become this season’s first contestant to attempt the 1 crore question.
