‘Majority of the scenes that the audience will see in the series are improvised,’ says Rajeev Khandelwal for Disney+ Hotstar's Showtime

Created by Sumit Roy, Showrunner Mihir Desai and Directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, Showtime is helmed by Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana with Mouni Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vishal Vashishtha, Neeraj Madhav and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles.

Improvisation is an art and sometimes it’s a knack that takes the scene from good to great! Disney+ Hotstar’s Showtime where entertainment runs full-speed, Rajeev Khandelwal opens up about improvising scenes along with the team of the show and enhancing it further.

Talking about the same, *Rajeev Khandelwal* said, _“Every scene was pre-discussed and majority of the scenes that the audience will see in the series are improvised. So, whether it was Archit Kumar or it was Mihir Desai or it was my co-actors Emraan, Shriya or Mahima or for that matter; we would rehearse the scene a few times only to let it remain as raw and impromptu as possible. Sometimes certain scenes were not working out, like I remember my introductory scene in the series was not working out to our satisfaction when we were shooting it and then we all sat down for a minute and we said okay let’s change the angle, let’s not shoot it from this angle and revise it. So, all in all I improvised a lot with the directors and with my co-actors.”_
