Tillotama Shome is one of the finest actresses we have whose body of work is truly impressive. In an interview with Mashable, she recalled an incident when she faced molestation in New Delhi. She revealed, “It was winter. It was evening and it was getting dark. I was standing at the bus stop waiting for the bus. Then a car came and stopped. Six guys got down from it."

She then stated how the men began to catcall her and even threw a stone at her.

She continued, “Several cars passed without stopping until I saw a car with a medical sign. I thought it might be safer since he was a doctor. I got in the car and sat in the front seat. But then, the driver unzipped his pants and tried to force my hand. My instinct kicked in, and I hit him. He had to stop the car because of what happened, and he told me to get out.”

Tillotama expressed how deeply it affected her. “It was a terrifying experience, and I was shaken. But my instinct to fight back helped me get out of a dangerous situation,” she said.

In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, the actress spoke the show and said, “It was so refreshing to see a man like Puneet write about women’s desires without being apologetic. And the narration was straight forward with no unnecessary context building. A simple thing is said in a straightforward way that by having sex with some other man outside marriage, you cannot be labelled as gaandi (dirty). All the characters are well fleshed out and OTT is helping us tell those stories with a broader arc of the character.”
