Day 2 of the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday will see two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu begin her women’s singles badminton campaign. Sindhu will face FN Abdul Razzaq of Maldives early on Sunday. HS Prannoy, a two-time Asian Games medallist, will also be in action on Sunday.

Prannoy will face Germany’s Fabian Roth. Another medal hope, boxer Nikhat Zareen will begin her campaign on Sunday. Zareen is scheduled to face Maxi Kloetzer of Germany in the women’s preliminary round of 32 bout (50 kg). The India women’s archery team secured direct qualification to the quarter-finals on Thursday and their last-eight contest against either France or Netherlands will take place later on Sunday.

Indian shooters will also feature in Sunday’s events of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Elavenil Valarivan, after having failed to qualify for the medal rounds of the mixed team 10m air rifle event on Saturday, will compete in the women’s 10m air rifle competition on Sunday.
