One of the major medal hopes on Day 13 of the 2024 Paris Olympics for India will be when javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra takes the field on Thursday. Neeraj will be looking to retain the gold medal that he won at the Tokyo Olympics three years ago.

The 26 year-old topped the javelin throw qualification stage with a throw of 89.34m and will face tough competition against the likes of Andersen Peters, Arshad Nadeem, Jakub Vadlejch and Keshorn Walcott.

Also in action on Thursday will be the Indian men’s hockey team, who will face Spain in the bronze medal match.

Wrestlers Aman Sehrawat and Anshu Malik will also compete in their respective categories on Thursday. Jyothi Yarraji will feature in the women’s 100m hurdles repechage round.
