Tokyo bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain will look to secure India’s fourth medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Day 9 (August 4, Sunday) when she fights Li Qian of China in the quarter-finals at 3:02 pm IST.

Lakshya Sen will also look to secure an elusive medal in men’s singles badminton as he takes on Viktor Axelsen in the semi-finals. No Indian male shuttler has ever reached the final.

Another major match for India awaits in hockey as the men’s team face Great Britain in the quarter-finals. The Indian men’s hockey team won bronze at the Tokyo Olympics and will look to change the colour of their medal this time.

Paris Olympics: News, schedule, medals tally and more

In shooting, Vijayveer Sidhu and Anish Bhanwala will try to qualify for men’s 25m rapid fire pistol final, while Maheshwari Chauhan and Raiza Dhillon will be back for Day 2 of women’s skeet qualification.

In athletics, Parul Chaudhary will take part in women’s 3,000m steeplechase Round 1, while Jeswin Aldrin will compete in men’s long jump qualification.

Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan will be back for two more races in their respective dinghy sailing events.
