The Indian women’s archery team was knocked out in the quarter-finals on Sunday at the Paris Olympics 2024 after a disappointing defeat to the Netherlands. There were high hopes for the Indian trio of Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur, and Deepika Kumari, who had directly qualified for the quarter-finals with an impressive performance in the ranking round.

The ranking round performance, however, did not translate into a solid quarter-finals outing as they lost 0-6 (51-52, 49-54, 48-53) to the Netherlands.

Ankita and Deepika had a nightmare outing as they failed to handle the expectations and the Dutch clean-swept the quarter-finals.
