It’s the dream of every athlete to participate in the Olympics. India had sent a record 121 athletes at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics three years back, and for the upcoming Paris Olympics that begins from 26 July, a total of 117 Indian athletes will take part. At the Tokyo Olympics, India recorded its best-ever Games medals tally of seven medals, that included a historic gold from javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra.

India’s athletes head to the Paris Olympics with renewed hopes and dreams, aiming to better that record from the previous edition of the Games. One of those athletes heading to the French capital is swimmer Srihari Nataraj, who will participate in his second Olympic Games.
