Paris Olympics: News, schedule, medals tally and more

Should Borgohain end up on the winning side in her quarter-final bout, Borgohain will become the first Indian boxer to win multiple Olympic medals. She will also join wrestler Sushil Kumar and shuttler PV Sindhu in the list of Indian athletes with medals in consecutive editions of the Olympics (shooter Manu Bhaker has won both of her bronze medals in the Paris Games).

The 26-year-old had begun her Paris 2024 campaign on a confident note with a 5-0 victory over Norway’s Sunniva Hofstad.
