 'Who are these politicians to...'

Rajeev Khandelwal of Showtime and Aamir fame recently spoke to Bollywood Bubble and spoke about the ban on Pakistani artists in Bollywood. He said, “This is very wrong. Who are these politicians to ban artists? Our politics dictates a certain narrative. Where there is love blossoming between two nations, you don’t even allow that for whatever reasons. So, I don’t understand this. I also feel that it’s wrong on my part to comment on this as I don’t understand it.”

He added, “We often speak about harmony and peace. So, where there is genuine peace and harmony, there too political parties give it a Hindu-Muslim angle. That is not right. It’s not that the Pakistani government is sending the artists as agents.”

The star also spoke to Radio Nasha and opened up about his unique and unforgettable meeting with the legendary Dev Anand. The actor revealed, “Dev saab called me for a film. I went there but I knew that I am not going to do this film because the kind of films he was making in those days… I knew that I didn’t want to do it. But I wanted to meet Dev saab.” Rajeev said that he doesn’t usually touch people’s feet but in Dev’s saab case, he wanted to show his respect and love, and so he bent down to touch the veteran actor’s feet.”

Khandelwal also said he asked Anand if he got any Botox done as his skin looked really fresh. The superstar quipped that he should think ‘happy and positive.’

Khandelwal dominated Indian television with his appearance in Kahiin To Hoga and Left Right Left. He, then, embarked on a new journey and appeared in numerous films including Aamir, Table No 21, and Shahid Kapoor starrer Bloody Daddy.
