Surgeon confirms doing Janhvi Kapoor's nose surgery in viral post, users say, 'Isn't this a violation of...'

Dr. Raj Kanodia is a famous surgeon who is making a lot of noise on Reddit after he liked a post that said Janhvi Kapoor underwent rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty is a type of plastic surgery that changes your nose’s shape and size. Some people have cosmetic rhinoplasty to improve how their nose and face look. Others undergo functional rhinoplasty, which improves breathing and nasal function.

Khloe Kardashian also admitted the doctor in question hers too. Some users have critcised the surgeon for violating the The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 rules. The Reddit post read- “Dr. Raj Kanodia was at the Ambani wedding - Khloe admitted he did her rhinoplasty but he liked a comment confirming he did Janhvi’s - isn’t this a HIPAA violation?.”

Another one wrote- “HIPAA does cover non-US citizens that received care in the US and the comment does imply a patient-provider relationship - But if Jahnvi signed a consent form for disclosure, this is not be a HIPAA violation.”

A third user commented- “Even with HIPAA ( which is US specific law) if the patient voluntarily discloses the information, or agrees to it being disclosed then no violation has occurred. The same principles apply to traditional doctor-patient confidentiality.”

Janhvi Kapoor, who is currently gearing up for the release of Ulajh, recently surprised the internet with one of her interviews, where she said that it would be “interesting to watch a debate between Gandhi and Ambedkar". However, her PR team wanted to edit this part from the interview as they were afraid of backlash.

“Is it so hard believe that a female young actress can have an opinion?” Janhvi told Mashable India adding,  “The irony, I remember that one of the reactions to this was she has been trained by her PR.”
