'Ulajh' Trailer Review: Janhvi Kapoor battles traitors and nepotism in this unique political thriller

The trailer of Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew’s Ulajh is out now and seems like a unique political thriller. Kapoor plays Suhana, a girl being questioned for her privilege and battling nepotism. She’s someone who’s trying to make her own space in a world populated and dominated by men. She went through a similar conflict in Gunjan Saxena.

She still strives to survive and expose the dark side of the Indian Foreign Services. Officials masquerading as patriots who turn out to be traitors. Here’s the trailer:

Janhvi Kapoor shares her thoughts on her role in the film, stating, “This film is particularly special to me as I portray a very challenging role of a diplomat for the first time. It has been a humbling and fascinating experience. Working with Sudhanshu Saria has been incredibly enriching; he made me push my own boundaries. Suhana’s character is strong and multi-dimensional, and I found a personal connection to some shades of the character that enabled me to deliver an authentic performance.”

Ulajh  follows the journey of a young diplomat, who, belonging to a prominent family of patriots, finds herself embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy while far from her home turf, at a career-defining post. Having garnered a lot of attention, the teaser of Ulajh was unveiled by Janhvi.

Ulajh  , a stylized international thriller, set in the prestigious and intriguing world of Indian Foreign Services (IFS), has a talented ensemble cast headlined by Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, and Roshan Mathew also starring powerhouse performers Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Sachin Khedekar, Rajendra Gupta and Jitendra Joshi.

Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh stars Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang, and Meiyang Chang in pivotal roles. The movie is set to hit theaters on August 2nd.

Written by the acclaimed duo Parveez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Saria, with dialogues by Atika Chauhan, Ulajh has already generated significant buzz with its teaser, promising an exhilarating cinematic journey. The film also stars Adil Hussain, Jitendra Joshi, and Rajendra Gupta.
