Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday revealed the four focus points of the Union Budget 2024-2025.

Presenting Budget 2024, FM Sitharaman said, “Union Budget 2024-2025 focus is on employment, skilling, MSME & the middle class.”

4 crore jobs to be created in 5 years

The Finance Minister announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government will create over 4 crore jobs for youth in over five years under five schemes with an outlay of Rs 2 lakh crore.

The Budget 2024-25 also proposed to allocate to Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education, employment and skilling.

The Finance Minister also said that under a new central scheme, 20 lakh youth will be skilled over a five year period.

“Schemes announced in the interim budget are well underway,” Sitharaman added.

The Budget 2024 is the full budget after the new government, led by PM Modi, came to power in 2024 Lok Sabha elections. An interim budget was presented by Sitharaman earlier in February.

FM Sitharaman on July 23 presented the Union Budget 2024, the seventh time in her career since she was given the charge of the finances of the world’s largest democracy.
