During the Vedaa trailer launch, lead star John Abraham snapped at a journalist when he questioned his latest filmography, which is filled with actioners.

The journalist told John Abraham that he is focusing only on action films and said, “Kuch naya laayee na sir (Do some different films, sir).” The actor got annoyed by the question, and replied, “Have you seen the film (  Vedaa)? Can I call out bad questions and idiots?”

Now, John has opened up about the incident and said that the journalist was ‘planted there’ to ‘provoke’ him.

“I know that one guy was planted there to rile me up, to antagonise me, to provoke me and I want to say that he won and I lost because I did get angry,” said John in a chat with Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube channel.

“I don’t like trailer launches because it’s like you are time traveling 20 years in the past. It is the same journalists, same absurd questions, no one is asking the right questions and entertainment journalism, in my opinion, is finished in India. No one asks intelligent questions,” the actor added.

The actor further said that the journalist asked him this question to instigate him. “There was a guy sitting there. He must have some boss above him, who must have asked him to push me because this will give us content, and he did that. At that point, I reacted. He didn’t win, I lost because I am bigger than that. I probably shouldn’t have done it, but it happened. Did he deserve it? Yeah, he deserved it but I moved on. In just a minute, I was back on track that I have to focus on myself,” said the Dhoom actor.
