‘Can I call out bad questions and idiots?’

The trailer of John Abraham and Sharvari starrer Vedaa was launched yesterday at an event in Mumbai. At the launch, the lead actor called out a journalist when he questioned his latest filmography, which is filled with actioners.

The journalist told John Abraham that he is focusing only on action films and said, “Kuch naya laayee na sir (Do some different films, sir).” The actor got annoyed by the question, and replied, “Have you seen the film ( Vedaa)? Can I call out bad questions and idiots?”

John later composed himself and said, “I want to directly tell you that this film is different. At least for me, what I’ve done is a very intense performance. Since you haven’t seen the film yet… Maybe watch the film first and then judge. After that I am all yours. Whatever you say. But if you’re wrong, I’m going to turn you around and tear you apart.”

Taiyaar ho jaiye, ek aisi jung ke liye, jo anyaay ko mitti mein milaayegi, aur Samvidhan ki raksha karegi! 💪

Saying that it is his best work with Nikkhil Advani, John said, “With all due respect to Batla House, Satyameva Jayate and everything we have done, Vedaa is the best work Nikkhil and I have done together. It’s outstanding.”

He added, “I tell the team always that when a film isn’t good, no amount of marketing will help it. I’m pumped and I’m proclaiming on stage, Vedaa is a really good film. It’ll work. Now how much will it work, I don’t know. But it has fantastic actors and Nikkhil as the director. I’m saying this on-record—and I’m a half-Parsi, so if something’s bad, I say it. I don’t care. Vedaa is a very good film.”
