Brazilian influencer Kat Torres, who once dated the Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio, is in the news for something explosive and controversial. The lady has been jailed for trafficking & slavery for eight years. It was back in 2022, when two Brazilian women went missing and a search-hunt was launched across the U.S. by the FBI. All that was known was the two women were living with Torres. The story has been reported by BBC.
A victim’s statement
“She kind of resembled hope for me,” said Anna, one of the victims, when she stumbled upon her Instagram page in 2017. “She seemed like she had overcome violence in her childhood, abuse, all these traumatic experiences,” Anna added.
Relationship with the Titanic star
The model refused to open up about her relationship with the ‘Titanic’ star as they have made a promise about not to talk about their romance to media, reported Aceshowbiz.
“I worry about what he will think about me talking to you. We have a pact that nothing can ever be said about our relationship. In Europe it is different. People see us together in many places so they do not need to ask us about anything. He doesn’t like being photographed and barely goes out walking once people have realised it’s him,” she said.
Torres, whose real name is Katiuscia Torres Soares, gushed over her boyfriend, saying that they fell for each other after meeting at Cannes International Film Festival.
