WWE superstar John Cena was one of the biggest personalities to attend the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding function in Mumbai on Friday. The 47 year-old wrestler-turned-actor dressed up in desi fashion for the wedding that was held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumba’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC).

In a video posted on Instagram, John Cena, who was dressed in a traditional sherwani, was seen getting a safa (turban) tied on his head. John Cena donned a blue sherwani with white pants, and was seen giving his iconic ‘you can’t see me’ pose on the red carpet. Mukesh Ambani, Anant’s father, thanked the American wrestler for attending the wedding ceremony of his son. “Welcome, thank you so much for coming,” said Mukesh as the two shared a handshake.

John was also seen dancing in the baraat while also talking to one of the guests at the wedding and hugging him. A few other guests at the wedding were also seen dancing to dhol music during the baraat.

A number of prominent celebrities attended the wedding function in Mumbai. Actors Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Ananya Pandey and Janhvi Kapoor were among the Bollywood film celebrities who attended whereas the cricketers who attended the function include Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah among a few others.

As per the Hindu Vedic customs, the wedding ceremonies got underway on Friday with the Shubh Vivaah ceremony. The Shubh Aashirwad ceremony will be held on Saturday, whereas the Mangal Utsav, which is the wedding reception, is scheduled for Sunday.
