Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter),   Ranaut   shared a video and revealed that a woman guard hit the actress on her face and hurled abuses. “When I asked her the reason, she said she supports the farmers’ protest.”

“I am getting a lot of phone calls, from the media as well as my well-wishers. First of all, I am safe, I am perfectly fine. The incident that happened today at Chandigarh airport was during the security check. As soon as I came out after the security check, the lady in the second cabin, a CISF security staff came from the side, hit me on my face and started abusing me. When I asked her why she did so, she said that she supports farmers’ protest. I am safe but I am concerned about the terrorism and extremism that is increasing in Punjab,” she said in the video.

However, composer and singer Vishal Dadlani supported the CISF guard Kulwinder Kaur, who slapped the actress and wrote, “I do not ever support violence, but I absolutely understand the need of this @official_cisf personnel’s anger. If any action is taken against her by the CISF, I will ensure that she has a job waiting for her should she choose to accept it. Jai Hind. Jai Jawaan. Jai Kisaan.”
