Disney recently announced the sequel of 2006’s instant classic The Devil Wears Prada, which featured Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt in prominent roles. The announcement of the second part has created humongous excitement among the cinegoers.

While Meryl will reportedly reprise the role of Miranda Priestly alongside Emily Blunt, Anne is not confirmed to reprise her role of Andy Sachs. Amid this, the Game of Thrones actor Sophie Turner has pitched herself when asked whether she would like appear in the sequel. “Yes! Oh my god. I’d want to be like an Emily Blunt character, I think. Or like one of Miranda Priestley’s minions—well, like, Emily Blunt [in the first movie]. Oh my god. I can’t wait for that movie. Cast me! I’m free!” replied Sophie to Elle.

“I don’t think a continuation of that story is probably ever gonna happen,” Anne Hathaway told E! News in March adding “The reason that movie felt so special was that we were a team and we did that work, but really it’s the love that everybody pours to it.”

The plot details of the highly anticipated sequel read, “The groundbreaking sequel is set to focus on Miranda, as she faces the decline of the once prosperous magazine publishing business. In fact, the only person who can bail her out is her former assistant, Blunt’s Emily Charlton, who is now a high-powered executive at a luxury fashion group, according to Puck. And apparently Miranda needs the brand’s big advertising dollars in order to prove that everyone still wants to be her.”

For the unversed, The Devil Wears Prada is based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel of the same name.
