On August 29, 2024, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) hosted its 47th annual general meeting (AGM), where Chairman Mukesh Ambani presented the company’s latest developments.

The AGM highlighted Jio’s advancements in the mobile sector and introduced several innovative products and services, including the much-anticipated Jio AI Cloud. This cloud storage solution aims to meet the growing digital demands of the Indian market, showcasing Reliance’s commitment to driving digital transformation.

Jio AI Cloud: Making Cloud Storage Accessible to All
One of the key announcements during the AGM was the introduction of the Jio AI Cloud, a service designed to provide affordable and secure cloud storage solutions to users across India. As part of the Jio AI Cloud Welcome Offer, users will receive up to 100 GB of free cloud storage.

Jio, the digital arm of Reliance, now handles 8 per cent of global mobile traffic while offering data services at a fraction of the global average price, a strategy that has led to a significant increase in data consumption among its users.

Reliance’s infrastructure, particularly its 5G network, has expanded rapidly, with Jio now operating 85% of India’s 5G radio cells, serving over 130 million users. This technological prowess underscores Reliance’s ambition to lead India’s digital transformation.
