Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone have done three very successful films together- Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the filmmaker spoke about meeting the actress for the first time.
Bhansali said, “When I met Deepika when I went to her house for the first time, she opened the door. I froze by the beauty of the woman, by the eyes, when I realized that there’s so much of subtlety, so much of fragility, there’s so much of beauty. She started talking, and I realized her voice was beautiful.”
Deepika Padukone , who has collaborated with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on three consective projects, Goliyon Ki Raasleela - Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat , had said that working with the director has been exhausting. According to Pinkvilla, in an interview, the actress revealed that she felt to replenish herself emotionally before signing up for more projects.
“I must admit that I was exhausted after working with Sanjay sir (Leela Bhansali) consecutively. (As an actor,) I had nothing left and that’s why I really needed to replenish emotionally before I took up anything else,” Pinkvilla quoted her as saying via Hindustan Times.
