Apple enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the company’s upcoming special event, which is rumoured to take place on September 10, 2024. A recent leak has added fuel to the anticipation, suggesting that this event could be held in person at Apple Park and may feature the debut of a bronze iPhone 16 Pro. However, the authenticity of this leaked invitation is questionable.
The image in question was shared by well-known tipster Majin Bu and showcases what appears to be an Apple Event invitation.
The invitation carries the tagline “Ready. Set. Capture,” accompanied by an Apple logo with a bronze gradient effect — possibly hinting at the rumoured bronze titanium model of the iPhone 16 Pro. The invitation also mentions the event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park on September 10 at 10 AM, Pacific Time, with an RSVP button included.
While the design of the invitation aligns with Apple’s typical aesthetics, there are several reasons to be sceptical about its authenticity.
First, the timing seems off — Apple usually sends out official invitations closer to the event date, typically in late August. Additionally, Majin Bu himself has expressed uncertainty about the legitimacy of the invitation, stating that it was provided by an anonymous source and admitting that he cannot verify its authenticity.
Given these uncertainties, it’s wise to approach this leak with caution. While the September 10 date is likely correct, the invitation itself may be a cleverly designed fake.
