British consumer technology brand The Nothing Co. has made a significant entry into the Indian market by launching its first smartphone under the CMF sub-brand, named the CMF Phone 1. This launch also introduces the CMF Buds Pro 2 wireless earbuds and the CMF Watch Pro 2 smartwatch, expanding their product lineup significantly.

The CMF Phone 1 stands out for its hardware personalisation features. Users can customize their phones with interchangeable back panel cases available in various colours and textures, offering a unique and refreshing look. Additionally, Nothing provides accessories that can be directly attached to the smartphone using the rotatable dial and screws on the device. However, it’s important to note that these accessories are sold separately.

CMF Phone 1: Specifications
The CMF Phone 1 is equipped with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The display can reach up to 700 nits of typical brightness and 2000 nits at peak brightness, ensuring clear visibility even in bright conditions.

The phone adopts a punch-hole design, common in modern smartphones, and features a removable back cover. This design allows users to change the back cover instead of buying a new device or using different cases, catering to those who enjoy frequently updating their phone’s appearance. The back cover comes with a screwdriver for easy removal, highlighting Nothing’s attention to user convenience.

The phone’s rotatable wheel isn’t just a fidgeting tool but serves practical purposes, such as attaching a lanyard, a small stand, or a card holder, all sold separately. The CMF Phone 1’s plastic body is available in matte and leather finishes, providing users with aesthetic choices. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, promising robust performance.

Nothing guarantees two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security patches, ensuring the phone stays up-to-date. Currently running on Android 14, the phone is expected to receive Android 16 in the future. For security, the device features an in-display fingerprint sensor, preferred over side-mounted sensors for its convenience.

The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery, supporting 33W fast charging. However, the charger is not included in the retail box and needs to be purchased separately. In terms of photography, the CMF Phone 1 boasts a 50MPdual rear camera setup and a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls, aiming to provide a comprehensive photography experience.

CMF Phone 1: Pricing and availability
The pricing of the CMF Phone 1 is competitive, starting at Rs 15,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model and Rs 17,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The phone will be available for purchase on Flipkart, with a launch offer allowing buyers to get the phone at a discounted price of Rs 14,999 using select bank cards, but this is a limited-time offer.

Accessories, including a lanyard, stand, and card holder, are each priced at Rs 799, while removable back covers in colors like blue, black, orange, and light green are priced at Rs 1,499. Additionally, the phone charger is available for Rs 799 for those purchasing the CMF Phone.

Watch Pro 2 and Buds Pro 2: Specs and features
Alongside the smartphone, Nothing has also introduced the CMF Watch Pro 2, which features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with an interchangeable bezel design for further customization.

The smartwatch offers over 100 watch faces, allowing users to personalize their device extensively. It supports more than 120 sports modes and can automatically recognize five sports, catering to fitness enthusiasts.

The watch also provides comprehensive health monitoring functions, including heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂), and stress level monitoring.

Other features include Bluetooth calling, music, and camera control, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The smartwatch promises up to 11 days of battery life, making it a reliable companion for daily use.

The CMF Buds Pro 2 earbuds come with dual audio drivers, featuring an 11mm bass driver and a 6mm tweeter. These earbuds support high-resolution audio over wireless using Bluetooth codecs like LDAC (Lossless Digital Audio Codec), ensuring superior sound quality.

The earbuds also offer hybrid Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) up to 50dB and a frequency range of 5000Hz, providing an immersive listening experience. For clear voice reception during calls, the earbuds have a six-microphone setup with Clear Voice Technology 2.0 and Wind-Noise Reduction 2.0.

The CMF Buds Pro 2 offer a total battery life of 43 hours and seven hours of playback on a 10-minute charge. The case features a rotatable Smart Dial for controlling sound aspects like volume levels.

Watch Pro 2 and Buds Pro 2: Pricing and availability
The pricing for the CMF Watch Pro 2 starts at Rs 4,999 for the Dark Gray and Ash Gray models, with the Blue and Orange vegan leather models priced at Rs 5,499. The bezel and strap set for the watch is available for Rs 749. The CMF Buds Pro 2 earbuds are priced at Rs 4,299.
