The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus has officially been launched in India, starting at a price of Rs 27,999. This new smartphone is set to make waves with its MediaTek Dimensity 7350 chipset, a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display, unique Glyph design, and a powerful 50MP dual rear camera.

One notable feature is that the base storage variant of the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is exclusively available in India. This device is poised to compete with other popular models like the OnePlus Nord 4, Realme GT 6T, and Poco F6.

Key specifications of the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus include the 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and the upgraded MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro chipset, which provides up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. According to the brand, this new chipset makes the Phone (2a) Plus 10% faster than its predecessor, the Phone 2a.

The device also features an IP54-rated dust and water-resistant build, maintaining the signature Glyph Interface, which lights up during calls and notifications. The smartphone runs on Nothing OS based on Android 14 and is set to receive three more OS upgrades along with four years of security patches.

On the camera front, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is equipped with a 50MP dual rear camera system. This includes a primary 50-megapixel Samsung GN9 sensor with f/1.88 aperture, 10x digital zoom, optical image stabilization (OIS), and electronic image stabilization (EIS). The secondary camera is a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor with a 114-degree field of view. The front camera is notably upgraded to a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor, a significant improvement from the 32-megapixel front camera on the Phone 2a.

The smartphone’s 5,000mAh battery supports 50W fast charging and 5W reverse wired charging. The battery promises up to 40.6 hours of music playback on a single charge, and the fast charging capability can fully charge the device from zero to 100 per cent in just 56 minutes.

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus: Pricing and availability
The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus comes in two storage variants: the 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage model is priced at Rs 27,999, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant costs Rs 29,999. Buyers can choose between Black and Grey colour options.

The smartphone will be available for purchase in India starting August 7 at 12pm on Flipkart. An instant discount of Rs 2,000 is available for those using bank credit and debit cards on the 12GB RAM variant.

For its price, Nothing Phone (2a) Plus offers a blend of advanced features and competitive pricing, making it a compelling choice in the Indian smartphone market.
